Kate Spade Sunglasses

Kate Spade's background is a little different from that of many top fashion designers. For one thing, she's from Kansas City. She also has a degree in journalism and worked as an editor at Mademoiselle magazine. Spade has always met design challenges head-on. In many ways she's the anti-John Galliano in that her designs are straightforward, flattering to most people, and they make sense. Her handbag designs are legendary, mostly because they give women what they want: great looks, great construction, and functionality.

This is not to say that Spade forgets that women sometimes have a love for accessories bordering on the irrational (guilty!). Some of her designs are so deliciously beautiful that you can't help but stare - her rain boots (seriously, rain boots) are just beautiful. So you'd expect Kate Spade sunglasses to be feminine, somewhat traditional, yet frankly pretty, and you wouldn't be disappointed.

One great example is her sunglasses design called "Evelyn." They are similar to Tom Ford's "Miranda," and cost about two-thirds less. You can get the style in a Brown frame / Brown gradient color scheme, or Glossy Black with Gray gradient lenses. The first is a good color choice for those with warm coloring (typically blondes and redheads) while the second is great for those with "cooler" coloring, such as pale skinned brunettes. If you're lucky enough to have dark skin, then take your pick: they'll probably both look great.

Her "Flynn" style is a sportier shade. It's a very feminine aviator with frames in Ruthenium and Gray Gradient lenses. The famous lower case "kate spade" logo is on the side pieces. Another sporty design by Kate Spade is the "Shay," which is made with an unexpected and beautiful Emerald frame along with Brown gradient lenses.

"Marli" is a design that basically goes with everything from swimwear to a business suit. It's a rectangular frame in Crystal Chocolate on the sides facing outward, and Butterscotch facing inward. The lenses are Brown Gradient. This is a pretty much universally flattering style, and it has the "k" logo on the side pieces.

If oversized movie star shades are your thing, then "Kelley" is a perfect choice. It's an oversized rectangular frame that wraps slightly, and the frames are made in Brown Croc, a frame style you won't find anywhere else, and it has brown gradient lenses. It also has adjustable wire core temples so it fits perfectly.

Kate Spade accessories are preferred by stylish women and celebrities everywhere, and are particularly big with those who are more "New York" than "L.A.," like Tina Fey. They're beautiful, exquisitely well-made, and they protect your eyes from 100% of UV rays. Kate Spade sunglasses are great fashion accessories, sure, but they're also great fashion investments because of the timelessness of the styles and their uncompromising beauty.
