Tory Burch- A Fierce Entrepreneur and First Class Designer
Launched in 2004, the Tory Burch brand has become a fashion label recognized worldwide and worn by some of today’s most famous celebrities. In just seven years, Tory has managed to turn her New York boutique into an upscale enterprise that now runs collections for multiple product categories such as: shoes, handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry and of course sunglasses.
Endorsed by Oprah Winfrey, Tory describes her childhood on a farm outside of Philadelphia and her parents’ unique sense of personal style as one of the biggest influences for her collections.
Michelle Obama, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hillary Swank, Katie Holmes and of course Oprah Winfrey have all been photographed wearing Tory Burch.
Furthermore, her styles (known as easy to wear and described as ‘Preppy-bohemian’) are popular with the viewers and fans of the television show Gossip Girl, which its actresses often appear wearing.
When it came time for Burch to design a logo, she wanted to come up with a signature that would be recognizable, yet easy to add to any piece. One of the first things she thought about was creating an insignia that would fit perfectly in sunglasses and would make it simple to create different shapes with delicacy and class.
Her eyewear creations include materials such as hardware metals, leather, prints and a variation of color shades that range anywhere from purple, pink, green, orange, brown, gold and of course the classic black. She was quoted saying her inspiration for sunglasses came from actress Faye Dunaway, actor Steve McQueen in the film Bullet and first lady Jacquelyn Onassis, and how she “feels naked if I walk out of the house without wearing a pair”.
Tory Burch sunglasses not only come in stylish models to suit each individual style and preference, but it makes anyone wearing a pair look fashionably chic with extreme sophistication and taste.
